Elizabeth Warren and Liberalism

Elizabeth Warren is what's wrong with liberal today. A party that advocates for the bankruptcy of the country is driving us into debt and ruination.

Who pays for government? WE THE PEOPLE!!!! Our taxes are our consent to a democratic government. The problem is that the politician go beyond our consent to spend more money than they receive, piling up debt that somebody will pay for someday.

Debt

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I, therefore, intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt.

Government should not be spending more than it takes in unless in an emergency. If the government was a business, it would have been bankrupt a long time ago.  Any entity - business, individual, government - that has too much debt on top of massive future unfunded liabilities is heading toward a major economic catastrophe.

Federal program should be prioritized and some that don't make the cut get defunded. If a government believes that certain programs are priorities that didn't get the funding in a previous year, the government should shift funds from a less priority or a program that is very inefficient.

Senator Obama was right when he stated that raising the debt limit is a failure of leadership. The problem is that President Obama does not care about reckless spending and is a failure as a leader.

Health Care

In 2009 & 2010, the president with the help of Congress passed the biggest overhaul to health care since Medicare. Ever since, health care has gotten worse. When the power to determine one's health is transferred from individuals and doctors to bureaucrats in Washington DC, medical care gets worse.

I disagree with President Obama on many issues concerning medicine. Obama believes that health care is a right. I believe it is a privilege of those who take care of themselves and a responsibility of individuals and society to take care of those less fortunate than ourselves.

I also disagree about the economics of current medical care. Obamacare goes against American ideals of individual liberty and capitalism. It punishes innovation and rewards bad health (unless you're a smoker). Obamacare will lead to European/ socialized medicine like Great Britain's NHS or the VA system in the United States.


On top of that, Obamacare allows the IRS to collect the penalty/fee/tax of not being in compliance with Obamacare. The same people who lost six months of e-mail that demand 7 years of tax returns if you're under audit is now going to hound taxpayers even more, especially those against the ruling class in this country.

Reversing federal growth

I agree with Jefferson's assessment that the 10th amendment, as quoted above, is the bedrock of the Bill of Rights and the foundation of the Constitution. The Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights were founded on the basis that the federal government does certain specific things and the rest belong to the states to run as they see fit.

Today, it is the reverse and our country is suffering because the federal government has taken too much power that was meant for the states. My proposal is for the federal government to eliminate certain cabinet departments - education, energy, HHS, HUD, and Commerce - along with the EPA. These departments and agencies are infringing on the rights of American citizens and a federal intrusion into areas that the states should run.

Immigration

When it comes to the law, it should be simple: if you are in the United States illegally, you must be sent back, especially if you commit a crime on American soil. No lawyers, no court rooms, as soon as officials find out, the illegal alien is out.

The United States government must also secure the border. Build a big fence and guard it with either National Guard and/or the military with the order to shoot all people coming across the border via jumping the boundary fence.

Finally, I would send hippies to Mexico. If the Mexican government is allowing people from south of their border free access to ride into the United States, we should be allowed to send all of our drugged-out bums and freeloaders to other countries via Mexico. I would send the hippies to Honduras and all my drug population to Venezuela.

Holder

Some government officials should be fired and/or impeached and removed. Eric Holder is one of them. Eric Holder should be fired for his incompetence at running the Department of Justice.

Mr. Holder called the United States a "Nation of Cowards" for refusing to debate racial issues. It is a little hard to debate issues of race when people call you a racist if you disagree with them. You cannot meet in the middle with people who see the word "compromise" as a dirty word.

Holder should have been fired after the facts of Fast & Furious were released. Allowing guns into Mexico while trying to track them, then being unable to track them and then finding out that they were used to kill a border patrol agent is downright treasonous.

Congress voted that the Attorney General was in contempt of Congress, a first in American history. I say that unless Holder removes himself from office, Congress should impeach him for failing to enforce the laws across the country.

For a president to say that he will bring hope and change, his appointment of attorney general has done nothing but bring shame and dishonor to his office.

The IRS = THEIRS

With the IRS being caught trying to target conservative groups before the 2012 election, one thing is for certain. The IRS cannot be trusted when it comes to collecting tax money.

The IRS is in charge of making sure that every American pays the government their share of taxes. Now with the IRS being given more responsibility in enforcing the financial obligations of Obamacare, it is more imperative that the the IRS be reformed and the tax code be simplified.

The IRS is a part of the Department of Treasury that can be eliminated if the government decided to dramatically change the tax code. A simpler tax code would phase out progressive income tax brackets of today in favor of a flat tax on all money made and created by all American people and corporations. Along with eliminating major waste, fraud, abuse and welfare (both individual and corporate) in spending, the federal government could actually make a surplus that would pay off the massive debt incurred over the last twenty years.

Hugo Chavez

Hugo Chavez ran Venezuela from 1999 to his death in 2013. During this time, Venezuela became an international joke and a safe haven for anti-American forces around the world. Hugo Chavez has set back his country for decades and it will take a long time to recover.

I remember when Chavez went to the UN and called the current President George W. Bush the devil and stated "and it smells of sulfur still today." President Bush has more class than this clown. Chavez was a joke of a leader. May he rot in peace.

Ron Paul is right

Since the economic collapse of 2007-2009, the Federal Reserve has created money to "pump" the economy and keep it stable. Where is the money going? I believe it is time to audit the Federal Reserve and base the US Dollar on an asset (gold, silver, etc.). We need a strong dollar to maintain the world economy and for a prosperous America to counter our enemies' desires to bring us down.

Supreme Court

Here's my very brief analysis of the Supreme Court as it is currently constituted:

Kagan - Obama clone, worst of the current court, too liberal

Sotomayor - strong Latina, too liberal, only thing good she did was end the 1994 baseball strike

Alito - strong conservative, better than the first choice Bush nominated at the time

Breyer - too liberal, doesn't use footnotes

Ginsburg - too liberal, too reliant on foreign law

Thomas - one of the best judges on the current court

Kennedy - swing vote, too liberal for a conservative judge

Scalia - best justice of all time, opinions are strong and intellectual

Roberts - strong conservative except for Obamacare (will not repeal it, wants the elected branches to repeal it themselves)

Putin

On the eve of Y2k, a nation was looking for a leader that would replace a president that was portrayed as a drunk. Boris Yeltsin needed a replacement who could steer Russia into the next millennium. He chose Vladimir Putin.

Putin has been leading Russia in various capacity for 14 years, either as president or prime minister. Under Putin's leadership, the economy is booming and Russia is regaining its standing in the world.

Putin is a popular leader in Russia, being portrayed as a superhero in various media. The Russian media always show him bare-chested, hunting dangerous game, participating in martial arts, and being an all-around tough guy. The Russian people eat it up and give him high approval numbers.

Despite his vast approval, Putin is not perfect. His background as a KGB spy is very suspicious of his motives. He is a Russian patriot, which means that he will do push Russian interest no matter the cost. The Russian invasion of Crimea is an example of Putin expanding national influence and bullying Europe into paying more money for natural gas that comes from Russia.

The US media is portraying Putin as homophobic for signing anti-gay laws and that Russia is trampling on the LGBT rights. I have a slightly different take on the issue. Russia has been fighting a slow population decline that has seen their death rate overtake their birth rate after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Russia is slowly recovering but has not gotten to the point of the replacement rate. Putin sees the need to encourage people to have children and not be exposed to the homosexual culture. Putin needs more Russians and these laws are designed to do that.

When it comes to leadership, Putin is running rings over the current occupier of the White House. When it comes to moral authority, it's either the ex-KGB spy who is slightly anti-democratic v. the community organizer that enforces the laws he likes, spies on people via the NSA, and who acts more like a dictator every day he is in power.

ID voting

You need an ID to buy alcohol, cigarettes, adult content, drive a vehicle, get on an airplane, and conduct business in the United States. Why wouldn't you need ID to vote?

The reason Democrats don't want voter ID laws because they want to have the ability to commit voter fraud whether they need to win an important election.

Barack Obama

The United States of America is celebrating its 238th Anniversary of its independence from Great Britain. We took power from the King of England and declared that the people should rule themselves.

Now, in the year 2014, we have a leader who is trying to become even more powerful than George III could ever imagine. Barack Hussein Obama has, over the past 5+ years, expanded the powers of the presidency and proved time and time again that he is above the law. With the stroke of a pen, President Obama can determine what the law is and how to enforce it without consulting Congress.

Obama has told the American public that he against big corporation, big banks, and special interest that poison politics. However, when it comes to Solyndra and other businesses, Obama is the biggest friend to corporations in our history (Especially left-wing business that go bankrupt within a year).

Obama complains about Republicans not working with him to solve American problems. I can tell you why Republicans won't work with you. It's called Stimulus, Obamacare, Fast & Furious, and other items that have shown the opposition that there is no point in working with you.

Stimulus was suppose to fix roads and school, in reality it went to unions in state governments to keep the states from cutting spending. Obamacare....I mean the "Affordable" Care Act...is nothing but the government wanting to control every aspect of daily life.

Right now, if I listed the president best to worst, our sitting president would be the second worst, only slightly better than James Buchanan. Buchanan's horrible decisions and policies led to the Civil War. If this country gets hit with a major catastrophe similar to that, then Obama will become the WORST.

Biden 2016?

The Hill had an article stating that with Hillary Clinton slipping in the polls due to her new book, Biden wants to run for president. My question to everybody: Why was Biden allowed to speak in public.

Joe Biden could not win in 1988 and 2008, why should the American people give him the presidency in 2016? Correct me if I'm wrong, but he got busted in '88 for plagiarizing a speech from a British leader.

Dick Cheney has a better shot at winning the presidency than Biden, the only vice-president worse than Dan Quayle.

Republicans turning into RINOS

Peter Beinart wrote a piece stating that the Republican Party must change policies to get more minorities into the party. Coming off the heels of Cantor's defeat, it sounds like a person that is shocked that a politician that does not represent a district well lost to a person who can articulate their core principles.

Why should we fall for this trap of appealing to small group of people? People won't respect the person that calls themselves Republicans but mouth Democratic ideas and principles. Why should be try to appeal to these groups and treat them like their problems are unique. Democrats promise everything to all these victim groups and never deliver. Why we emulate that solution and put the GOP brand in jeoparty.

Republicans need to stand up for conservative principles. We need to give the country the opposite of what Obama and his minions have been doing for the past 5 1/2 years. Free market solutions that encourage liberty and creation of wealth. A tax structure that encourages innovation and economic growth. Energy policy that lowers the price of gas and other basic essentials. A foreign policy that is clear and consistent with American ideas and principles. A government that knows its boundaries and represents the people that elected them into higher office.

Nobody should be living in California, New York, or Minnesota. I believe these three states are the worst of the worst.

California - run by a 2/3 democrat legislature, a democrat governor, a population that gave themselves an income tax hike, Hollywood, San Francisco, and cultural rot.

New York - democrat legislature, democrat governor that is anti-gun, a communist New York City mayor, and a population center that is dominated by fat cats on Wall Street

Minnesota - democrat legislature & governor, Senator Al Franken, awful winters and unbearable summers

School lunch = Hunger Games

Michelle Obama does not realize that Washington meddling in the school lunch program is causing it to become more unpopular than ever before. Schools are spending more money on something that is basic for education.  Participation for the program is going down due to the fact that the government is not allowing local schools to control what they serve at lunch.
